Dit jazz duo is niet zonder reden onze meest populaire duo bezetting! Of het nu gaat om uw privé feestje of een zakelijk evenement, bij vele aangelegenheden is de muziek van dit jazz duo geschikt. Door de Compact dimensions, het vriendelijke tarief en het bescheiden volume, hebben al vele honderden klanten genoten van de sfeer die dit jazz duo creëert.

Met een jazz duo zoals dit, heeft u de mogelijkheid om de unieke sfeer van live jazz te creëren tegen een zo voordelig mogelijk tarief. We zijn immers maar met twee musici — maar wel musici van topkwaliteit die het zelfs in zo'n kleine bezetting goed kunnen laten swingen.
Varied repertoire and modest volume
Dit jazz duo met die prachtige contrabas en de veelzijdige piano is erg compact en brengt een gezellige, intieme sfeer met zich mee. De klankkleur van onze muziek is mild en op aangenaam volume. We spelen een prachtige mix van mooie ballads, swingende jazz, gemixed met zomerse bossa nova en groovy ritmes.
Met dit jazz duo kunnen we het volume heel laag houden, maar als de situatie dat vereist kunnen we het volume ook wat opvoeren. We passen ons precies aan aan de situatie zodat er altijd achtergrondmuziek klinkt op aangenaam volume.
Compact dimensions
Als er maar weinig ruimte beschikbaar is voor een jazzbandje, dan kan een jazz duo vrijwel toch altijd spelen. Met dit allround jazz duo kunnen we al op een oppervlakte van zo'n 2 bij 2 m2 aan de gang.

Faqs
Kunnen jullie buiten optreden?
Jazeker! Niets is fijner dan een mooie jazz band bij uw tuinfeest of bruiloftsreceptie. Ook zakelijke recepties vinden in de zomer vaak buiten plaats. Wij treden met alle plezier in de buitenlucht op. Wel is het belangrijk dat we beschut staan tegen zon en wind, en dat de temperatuur aangenaam is – bij voorkeur rond de 20 graden.
Is een podium noodzakelijk?
Een podium is niet strikt noodzakelijk. Bij grotere gezelschappen (meer dan 100 personen) raden we aan om een kleine verhoging te voorzien. Zo zijn de musici beter zichtbaar voor het publiek. Een jazzband draagt immers niet alleen muzikaal, maar ook visueel bij aan de sfeer van het evenement — dan is het wel zo mooi als we goed in beeld zijn.
What is a typical playing time?
We are usually hired for a performance of 2 to 4 hours. The ideal playing time depends partly on the line-up of the band. As a rule of thumb, you can assume that the number of musicians is at least approximately equal to the number of hours of music needed. For a performance of about three hours, a trio for example, an excellent choice. Do you need music for a short moment, for example a performance of only an hour? Then a smaller one is often sufficient line-up, like a duo. If music is really needed for a long time, for example six hours, then it is also very nice to have a line-up of a live band for a few hours, followed by our vinyl DJ. Of course Kars would like advice you on what fits your occasion best!
What is your dress code?
To stay completely in the spirit of jazz, we always perform in stylish black suits with white shirts, complemented by a black tie or bow tie. It’s a subtle nod to the elegant 1950s – the era when jazz developed its iconic look. Even if you and your guests opt for a more casual dress code, our classic attire adds a touch of class to your event. After all, the musicians play a special role and deserve to stand out just a little. Of course, we’re happy to adapt our dress code to match your preferences – whether formal, festive, or relaxed.
Where in the country do you play?
The professional musicians of "De Jazz Centrale" are based throughout the country, which makes us highly flexible and available for performances across the Netherlands and Belgium – and beyond. We regularly perform in regions such as North Rhine-Westphalia, Luxembourg, and northern France. Travel costs remain relatively low and have only a minor impact on the total fee. This way, you can enjoy top-quality live jazz music, wherever your event takes place!
