Absolutely! There is nothing better than a great jazz band at your garden party or wedding reception. Business receptions are also often held outdoors in the summer. We are happy to perform outdoors. It is important that we are sheltered from the sun and wind, and that the temperature is pleasant – preferably around 20 degrees.

A stage is not strictly necessary. For larger groups (more than 100 people) we recommend providing a small elevation. This way the musicians are more visible to the audience. After all, a jazz band contributes not only musically, but also visually to the atmosphere of the event - so it is nice if we are clearly visible.

We are usually hired for a performance of 2 to 4 hours. The ideal playing time depends partly on the samenstelling of the band. As a rule of thumb, you can assume that the number of musicians is at least approximately equal to the number of hours of music needed. For a performance of about three hours, a trio for example, an excellent choice. Do you need music for a short moment, for example a performance of only an hour? Then a smaller one is often sufficient bezetting, like a duo. If music is really needed for a long time, for example six hours, then it is also very nice to have a combinatie of a live band for a few hours, followed by our vinyl DJ. To stay completely in the spirit of jazz, we always perform in stylish black suits with white shirts, complemented by a black tie or bow tie. It’s a subtle nod to the elegant 1950s – the era when jazz developed its iconic look. Even if you and your guests opt for a more casual dress code, our classic attire adds a touch of class to your event. After all, the musicians play a special role and deserve to stand out just a little. Of course, we’re happy to adapt our dress code to match your preferences – whether formal, festive, or relaxed.

De professionele musici van de Jazz Centrale wonen verspreid over het hele land, waardoor wij in heel Nederland en België én daarbuiten flexibel inzetbaar zijn. Daarom kunnen we ook optreden in Noordrijn-Westfalen, Luxemburg en het noorden van Frankrijk. De reiskosten blijven daarbij relatief beperkt en hebben slechts een kleine invloed op het tarief. Musici zijn immers gewend om te reizen. Zo geniet u van live jazzmuziek van topkwaliteit, waar dan ook!
