Do you not have room for a large jazz band with all the trimmings (literally)? But do you want to enjoy live jazz at the highest level and with that irresistible saxophone sound? Then this is compact jazz trio a fantastic choice. The trio takes up little space. Count on approximately 2 at 3 meters. Enough to place an acoustic or electronic piano together with a double bass. And a saxophonist usually doesn't take much more space than one square meter.

FAQ's
Kunnen jullie buiten optreden?
Jazeker! Niets is fijner dan een mooie jazz band bij uw tuinfeest of bruiloftsreceptie. Ook zakelijke recepties vinden in de zomer vaak buiten plaats. Wij treden met alle plezier in de buitenlucht op. Wel is het belangrijk dat we beschut staan tegen zon en wind, en dat de temperatuur aangenaam is – bij voorkeur rond de 20 graden.
Is een podium noodzakelijk?
Een podium is niet strikt noodzakelijk. Bij grotere gezelschappen (meer dan 100 personen) raden we aan om een kleine verhoging te voorzien. Zo zijn de musici beter zichtbaar voor het publiek. Een jazzband draagt immers niet alleen muzikaal, maar ook visueel bij aan de sfeer van het evenement — dan is het wel zo mooi als we goed in beeld zijn.
Wat is een gebruikelijke speelduur?
Meestal worden wij ingehuurd voor een optreden van 2 tot 4 uur. Wat de ideale speelduur is, hangt deels af van de samenstelling van de band. Als vuistregel kunt u aanhouden: het aantal musici komt minimaal ongeveer overeen met het aantal uur dat muziek nodig is. Voor een optreden van zo’n drie uur is een trio bijvoorbeeld een uitstekende keuze. Heeft u juist een kort moment muziek nodig, bijvoorbeeld een optreden van slechts een uur? Dan volstaat vaak een kleinere bezetting, zoals een duo. Als er echt lang muziek nodig is, bijvoorbeeld zes uur, dan is het ook erg fraai om een combinatie te doen van een live bandje voor een paar uur, gevolgd door onze vinyl DJ. Uiteraard denkt Kars wij graag met u mee over wat het beste past bij uw gelegenheid!
Wat is jullie dresscode?
Om helemaal in de stijl van de jazz te blijven, verschijnen wij standaard in stijlvol zwart pak met wit overhemd, en een zwarte das of vlinderstrik. Een knipoog naar de elegante jaren ’50 – het tijdperk waarin de jazz haar iconische uitstraling kreeg. Zelfs wanneer u en uw gasten voor een meer casual dresscode kiezen, zorgt onze klassieke kledingstijl voor een chique uitstraling. De musici hebben tenslotte een bijzondere rol tijdens uw event, en mogen er best een beetje uitspringen. Uiteraard stemmen wij onze kledingkeuze graag af op uw wensen – of u nu kiest voor formeel, feestelijk of juist informeel.
Waar in het land spelen jullie?
De professionele musici van de Jazz Centrale zijn verspreid over het hele land, waardoor wij in heel Nederland en België én daarbuiten flexibel inzetbaar zijn. Daarom kunnen we ook optreden in Noordrijn-Westfalen, Luxemburg en het noorden van Frankrijk. De reiskosten blijven daarbij relatief beperkt en hebben slechts een kleine invloed op het tarief. Zo geniet u van live jazzmuziek van topkwaliteit, waar dan ook!
